Am 27. Januar 2003 erließ Josef Cardinal Ratzinger, Praefekt der
Glaubenskongregation in Rom, das Dekret über die EXKOMMUNIKATION DER 7 FRAUEN,
die SICH AM 29. JUNI 2002 zu rk PRIESTERINNEN WEIHEN LIESSEN.
Aus diesem Anlass und als Ankündigung der ersten großen Priesterinnenweihe
in Amerika und Kanada, senden wir Ihnen diesen NEWSLETTER und den
HIRTINNENBRIEF.

GROSSE P R I E S T E R I N N E N W E I H E auf dem St. LAWRENCE RIVER.

Der St. Lawrence River verbindet Amerika mit Kanada. Deshalb wurde dieser
Fluss für die PRIESTERINNENWEIHE 2005 ausgewählt.
Geweiht werden 9 Frauen:
5 Frauen zu Diakoninnen und 4 Frauen zu rk Priesterinnen.
Die Frauen kommen aus Amerika und Kanada.
Zeitpunkt:
MONTAG, 25. JULI 2005, in Ganaoque am St. Lawrence River
Abfahrt des Schiffes um 15 Uhr;
Weihezeremonie auf dem Schiff
HINWEISE:
1) Der Priesterinnenweihe voraus geht eine Reise mit dem Bus durch
wichtige Orte in Amerika, die für die historische Frauenbewegung von großer Bedeutung
sind (New York, Boston, Rochester). Auch an dieser
Busreise ist es möglich, teilzunehmen.
2) ZWISCHEN Busreise und PRIESTERINNENWEIHE am 22.- 24. Juli 2005 findet
in Ottawa (Kanada) die 2. internationale Konferenz des weltweiten oekumenischen Netzwerkes
"Women's Ordination Worldwide" (WOW), der "Dachorganisation" aller Gruppierungen
in der Welt, die für die Frauenordination in ihren Kirchen eintreten, statt.
Die PRIESTERINNENWEIHE am 25. Juli und die WOW-Konferenz vom 22.-24. Juli 2005
lassen sich großartig miteinander verbinden (Näheres unter www.wow2005.org)
Am besten: Sie buchen einen Flug vom 21. Juli bis zum 26. Juli nach
Rochester oder Ottowa, dann können Sie sowohl an der WELTKONFERENZ als
auch an der PRIESTERINNENWEIHE auf dem St. Lawrence River teilnehmen.

Dear Friends and all who are interested in our undertakings
This Newsletter brings you news of the first great R.C. ordination to
the priesthood of women from the United States and Canada, which will
take place on 25 July this year.
The Pastoral Letter deals with the excommunication of the first seven
women ordained on the Danube on 29 June 2002. On 27 January 2003,
Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger issued the Decree of Excommunication of these
women. Reflections on this are in the letter below.

WITH GREAT REJOICING, WE ANNOUNCE THE FIRST GREAT ROMAN CATHOLIC
O R D I N A T I O N O F W O M E N FROM THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA,
on the ST. LAWRENCE RIVER.
The St. Lawrence links America with Canada. Since both American and
Canadian women will be ordained, this river was chosen for the
ordination ceremony.
There will probably be nine women ordained, five as R.C. deacons and
four as R.C. priests.
Date: MONDAY 25 JULY 2005. Boarding the ship will be at 15h00 from
Ganonoque on the St. Lawrence on the Canadian side. The ordination
ceremony will begin at 16h00. For enquiries and bookings contact Dr.

MEETING WITH THOSE IN THE PROGRAM OF PREPARATION FOR ORDINATION: The
bishops and Patricia (program co-ordinator) would love to meet all
Americans and Canadians who are in the Program of Preparation for
ordination. They are hoping to have a meeting with everyone in the
Program on the morning of the ordination in Ganonoque at 10.00. It
would be wonderful if as many of you as possible could get to the
morning meeting and stay on for the ordination on the ship. It is so
important that we get to know one another.
MEETING WITH THE ORDINANDS: At 11.00, the bishops and Patricia will
have a meeting with the ordinands who will be ordained later that day.

WITNESS WAGON TOUR: Saturday, July 16 - Friday July 22. A celebration
of the struggle for human rights and freedom in America, with special
reference to women. This bus tour will begin in Washington, DC and make
its way through Maryland, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Seneca Falls,
Rochester, NY and then across the St Lawrence river to Ottawa, Ontario,
Canada. It will be possible to participate in the full 8-day tour or in
the shorter, 4-day tour from July 19 in Boston.

WOW CONFERENCE IN OTTAWA
Between the Witness Wagon Tour and the Ordination ceremony on the St.
Lawrence, there will be a WOW Conference in Ottawa, Canada, from 22 - 24
July. (For details, see www.wow2005.org)

The WOW Conference ends with lunch on Sunday 24 July.
The ordination will take place the next day, after the Conference has
ended, i.e. on Monday 25 July 2005. For those who attend the Conference
and wish to travel to Ganonoque for the ordination ceremony on Monday,

Cette Newsletter vous annonce la première grande ordination catholique romaine à
la prêtrise de femmes originaires des Etats-Unis et du Canada,qui aura lieu le 25 Juillet
de cette année.
La lettre Pastorale traite de l'excommunication des sept premières femmes ordonnées
sur le Danube le 29 Juin 2002. le décret d'excommunication de ces femmes a été publié
le 27 Janvier 2003 par le Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger . reflexions sur ce sujet dans la

C'EST AVEC JOIE QUE NOUS ANNONCONS LA PREMIERE GRANDE ORDINATION DE FEMMES
CATHOLIQUES ROMAINES POUR LES ETATS UNIS ET LE CANADA , SUR LE SAINT LAURENT .
Le Saint Laurent relie les Etats -Unis et le Canada. Comme il y aura des Américaines
et des Canadiennes qui seront ordonnées ,ce fleuve a été choisi pour célébrer
l'ordination.
Elles seront probablement neuf à être ordonnées , cinq comme diacres
catholiques romaines et quatre comme prêtres catholiques romaines .
Date : Lundi 25 juillet 2005. Embarquement à 15 h.00 à Ganonoque sur le Saint
Laurent du côté canadien. L'ordination commencera à 16 h. Renseignements et réservations :

RENCONTRE AVEC LES PARTICIPANTES AU CYCLE DE PREPARATION A L'ORDINATION :
Les évêques et Patricia ( coordinatrice du cycle ) aimeraient rencontrer toutes
les Américaines et Canadiennes du Cycle de préparation à l'ordination.
Elles espèrent les rencontrer le matin de l'ordination à Gananoque à 10 h.
Ce serait merveilleux que vous puissiez ,aussi nombreuses que possible ,
assister à la réunion du matin et rester pour l'ordination sur le bateau. Il est si important que nous arrivions à nous connaître.
RENCONTRE AVEC LES ORDINANDES
A 11h.les évêques et Patricia rencontreront les ordinandes qui recevront
l'ordination plus tard dans la journée .
TOURNEE DE TEMOIGNAGE :
Samedi 16 Juillet -Vendredi 22 Juillet . Un hommage aux combats pour les droits de l'homme
et la liberté en Amérique avec une référence particulière aux femmes .
Cette tournée en autocar commencera à Washington D.C. et traversera le Maryland,
Philadelphie, New York, Boston, Seneca Falls,
Rochester NY. et de l'autre côté du Saint Laurent Ottawa, Ontario,
Canada. On pourra participer aux huit jours ou à la tournée plus
courte de 4 Jours à partir de Boston le 19 Juillet.

CONGRES DE WOW A OTTAWA
Entre la tournée de témoignage et l'ordination sur le Saint Laurent se tiendra
un congrès de WOW à Ottawa, Canada du 22 au 24 Juillet

Le congrès de WOW se termine samedi 24 Juillet par le déjeuner.
L'ordination aura lieu Lundi 25 Juillet 2005 . Pour les participant/e/s au congrès
qui veulent se rendre à l'ordination, des autocars sont prévus vers Gananoque
